8 Things to know about Theming in Drupal 8

Drupal 8 has a lot of people shaken up, including a lot of front end developers who don't know Twig!

In my Drupal 8 theming experience, I know that I was really confused and disoriented when I first started. Where did my preprocess functions go? How do I output stuff to the page? How do I customize the variables that get sent to the templates?

In this session, we'll go over the differences between theming in Drupal 7 and 8, as well as the similarities. This will be more of an overview with examples as opposed to going through the process of building a theme. (Although, by the end, you should have a good gist of what it takes!)
